The Long Family: Panama City Beach 2013

We had a nice week in PCB this year. We had a lot of scheduling conflicts in trying to book a trip between Levi starting his new job, finishing up classes and several other things. I really wanted to go to the beach so my Mom and I decided to make the 12 hour drive with Logan and my niece Madi! I was really worried about it considering I hate driving and all...but Mom gets car sick so preferred to drive so it worked out really well!! Logan and Madi play so well together and they got a lot perfect! We had a great week of relaxing and hanging out at the beach. We would literally wake up go to the beach, eat lunch, take naps or go back to the beach, go swim in the pool, get ready for dinner, go to dinner, come home get ready for bed and go to bed...every day for six days. It was awesome! For us at least!!

Here are some pics from our week!!

It took us about 16 hours to get to Florida. Our delay started in Alabama when we got stuck in traffic for an hour. We just sat there on the highway for an hour!! When we got to Florida we decided to take the "Scenic" route since we didn't have any men with us and we could do that if!! It ended up being VERY scenic and VERY long. Oh well. We saw an awesome Rainbow and had the chance to get out of the car and let the kids play on the beach for a bit. We finally made it to the condo at 10pm!!

First day on the beach - Sunday!! Logan loved the sand and playing. Did not like the Salt water in his eyes or his mouth. He said it was disgusting!!! Logan would pretty much play on the beach while Madi was diving, jumping, swimming, sea shell hunting, treasure digging in the ocean all day!!

Beach Day #2 - Monday

Logan loved this setup! He had a lot of fun playing in the ocean but being safe in the boat!! Had dinner at Mellow Mushroom and some dippin dots afterwards!

Beach Day 3 (Tuesday) - Fun at the beach then dinner!!

Beach Day 4 (Wednesday) - Logan was doing better in the water and really loving the boat. You can tell in one of the pics he still didn't like getting splashed by the salt water (he is very much a water lover and swimmer though). We had dinner at Schooners on the beach and planned to head out for sunset pictures. We got distracted and took too long and almost missed the sun but we got a few good pics!

Beach Day 5 (Thursday) - The kids had fun in the boat all day long!! Had dinner at a close by place and then headed to the human maze. It took us about an hour and 20 minutes to make it through. The record for the day was 16 minutes I think. The kids had fun but it did get a little frustrating towards the end!!

Beach day 6 - Last day - Logan LOVEd the ocean, was diving for sea shells, swimming in the waves and loving every minute of it!! We ended with a nice dinner at St. Andrews Bay and took some pics! What a great week!!
