We headed out this past Mother's day weekend for some family time with Levi's family. We had 12 adults and 3 kids head out to Davis, Ok for some "cabining" - fake camping with his family. We had such a relaxing time and did nothing but eat and sit by the fire for two days. It was nice and a much needed break for everyone. We arrived on Friday afternoon about 2pm. Unloaded and got settled in, we had an awesome dinner on Friday with grilled chicken, ribs and tons of sides. Every meal was faboulous but when all you have to do is cook and sit around, I guess it makes sense. When we first arrived and I saw that the cabins were located on the side of a small cliff with a creek at the bottom and all the ground was covered in rocks, I thought, Oh geez, this is going to be exausting making sure Logan doesn't get hurt. He was good and listened well most of the time. He always had an adult right by his side to keep him safe. Him and little Isla had a BLAST. They played, ran, played and ran some more. It was so fun watching them play together and try to learn the meaning of share! Poor Logan fell so many times and came home with about 6 bruises on his face (4 new and 2 old that he had before we left). We ended the weekend by all going to town and going to breakfast on Mother's Day. When I got back in the car there was a little blue box sitting in the passenger seat and in it was a locket necklace with Mom engraved on the front. Levi said he would have put a picture in it but he didn't even know where to find a picture small enough to go in it...I thought that was funny! We spent the rest of the day hanging out and then headed to my parents house for dinner and to spend time with my Mom. It was a great day and great weekend of good family time. O ya...I forgot to mention that Monday at Tracy's Logan took a 5 hour nap! Poor boy was soooo wore out. He then fell asleep in my arms at 7pm Monday night an hour before his bed time and he NEVER goes to sleep in my arms, he is such a put me to bed and leave me alone little boy so it was sweet for me to get to hold him while he fell asleep! Here are some pictures from our trip and mothers day weekend!
Ready to take on the world!
Logan was saying "Cheese"
Having a drink by the fire!
You can see his black eye a little in this picture
"Logan, give Isla a Kiss" - Logan thinks a kiss means to put your forehead forward so it can be kissed! So cute!
Sweet Babies!
I kid you not...Logan sat here for about 30-40 minutes, putting sand on the shovel, pouring in on himself, putting sand on the shovel, pour on himself...repeat!
